  • Is this a drop off class?
    It's totally up to you. You can drop off or your welcome to stay and watch the session and experience their first pedals without stabilisers.
  • Where do you hold your classes?
    Please go to our booking page to see where we are currently teaching our classes. We currently teach in the following areas: Sussex Surrey Kent Somerset Wiltshire Gloucestershire Bristol Dorset Hampshire Berkshire New venues are being added all the time so if you don't see a class near you, please get in touch and we shall do the best we can to get a class running in your area.
  • What do I need to bring to the class?
    Your children will need a pedal bike without stabilisers, bike helmet, snacks and water. If it's an outdoor venue, then please make sure they have appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on that day (rain mac, gloves, thin beanie to go under their bike helmet, sun cream).
  • How long is an Learn to ride a pedal bike without stabilisers intensive Glide session?
    Weekend and school holiday sessions are 3 hours long, 3 badminton courts / a tennis court minimum and have 10 riders in the class with 2 returner riders maximum per class. Often there will be an assistant as well as the main coach in this class. After school sessions: 4-6pm or 5-7pm and are generally 2 hours long on 2 badminton courts / a tennis court and have 5 new riders in the class and 2 returner riders maximum per class with 1 coach. School classes directly taught at schools: These school sessions are 1 hour long and we teach 3 sessions over a 3 week period to a class of 10 children maximum. We can hold the classes during school time or run them as a breakfast or after school club.
  • What happens if my child can't ride their bike without stabilisers after the first session I have booked?
    If your child did not learn in their first class we offer a free return follow up class within 3 months of the date it was taken with a maximum of 1 year of free follow-up classes. If your child has attended numerous follow-up classes and hasn't learned within the 1 year period from the initial class then a new paid booking is required.
  • What happens if it is raining?
    If your session is outdoors, please bring appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on the day. If we encounter heavy rain during the session, we will take cover. if it persists then we will postpone the session to a later date / you can book onto any other Glide venue / session taking place at a future date.
  • What happens if my child is ill?
    We will give you a class credit, for the next available session that you can make.
