Learn to ride a bike without stabilisers
OUR CLASS
WHO IS THIS FOR? Our classes are for children ages 4-12+ years old who want to learn to ride a bike without stabilisers in a safe and controlled environment at their own pace. ABOUT THE CLASS Each stage of the class is designed to encourage your child to learn to ride a bike without stabilisers in a fun and comfortable environment. During the class we go through stages where we allow the children to relax, laugh and answer questions, get used to their bikes and how they manoeuvre and then we get them pedalling using our tried and tested methods. With our fun and focussed classes we aim to have your child riding without stabilisers as quickly as possible at their pace, so they have ample time to practice during the class with an instructor on hand. CLASS LENGTH 2 hours with 6 children in class DO I HAVE TO STAY FOR THE WHOLE CLASS? It's totally up to you! You can go and grab a coffee at the venue or you're welcome to stay and watch the session and experience their first pedals without stabilisers. CLASS CHECK LIST Prior to arriving you will need to perform these tasks. A task reminder via email is sent 24 hours before the class. If you unable to do any of these preparations, we can do them at the beginning of the class but we prefer the bike be prepared so your child will have more time learning to ride! - Take the stabilisers off - Take both pedals off (not the pedal cranks, just the pedals) and bring them to the class with you - Pump up the tyres - Check the brakes work correctly - Adjust the saddle so the feet are flat on the floor with a slight bend in the knee - Your children will need a pedal bike without stabilisers, bike helmet, snacks and water. DONT HAVE A BIKE? If you do not have a bike, then we recommend borrowing a bike from a friend or getting a bike from www.bikeclub.com who hire really good bikes (such as Isla, frogs, squish) and many more brands from £9.99 a month. *See our Terms & Conditions for more information.
